Hi! I’m planning to make these cookies tomorrow and I saw that the recipe requires 1/4 cup espresso powder. Was this a typo? Is that a lot of espresso hahah? Just wanted to confirm this with you! Thanks!

I do a lot of baking, and I especially bake a lot of cookies. This is one of the best cookie recipes I’ve ever made!! The cookies themselves (without the frosting) have incredible flavor and texture, these would be great on their own if you wanted something a little less decadent. Adding the frosting took them to the next level for that tiramisu experience. Next time I make these I will probably make 1.5x the recipe for frosting, since I ended up only having enough for about 8 cookies, but that was very likely user error since I piped it on pretty thick. I brought these to a party and everyone loved them. Amazing recipe that makes you look incredibly skilled even though it’s actually very easy 🙂

In reply to Camile. Hi Camile! I'm so sorry to hear your cookies didn't turn out. If the cookies were dry you might have overbaked them or overmeasured your flour--they should be super soft and chewy! Mascarpone can vary a lot whcih could be the culprit for your runny frosting, but the cream should keep it thick! What kind of mascarpone did you use?

I was really excited to make this recipe but it did not turn out well at all. I followed it to a T but the cookies came out dry and the frosting was runny and did not seem to complement the flavor of the cookie. Love the other cookie recipes by Broma (shout out carrot cake cookies!) but this one was not it.

She has done it again ladies and gentlemen. These cookies are sooooo good. My only comment is I think the measurement is off in M for the espresso powder! Would highly recommend though!

I just made these cookies and they were fantastic! I did not have espresso powder so I used instant espresso. For everything else, I followed the recipe exactly. Delicious! Thank you for sharing this recipe🥰
